Stranger Danger!

Normally you associate Stranger Danger with kids, but in this case it is in regards to strangers approaching your home claiming to be a Utility Worker.  If someone approaches your home claiming to be a Utility Worker, do not open your door.  Especially if they are not alone.  Ask to see their ID through the door and ask why do they need to come in.   9 times out of 10, your meter is outside and they shouldn’t need to come in.   Please be careful because predators are watching.

In 2004, the American Heart Association (AHA) faced a challenge. Cardiovascular disease claimed the lives of nearly 500,000 American women each year, yet women were not paying attention. In fact, many even dismissed it as an older man’s disease. To dispel the myths and raise awareness of heart disease & stroke as the number one killer of women, the American Heart Association created Go Red For Women, a passionate, emotional, social initiative designed to empower women to take charge of their heart health.

Go Red For Women encourages awareness of the issue of women and heart disease, and also action to save more lives. The movement harnesses the energy, passion and power women have to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. It challenges them to know their risk for heart disease and take action to reduce their personal risk. It also gives them the tools they need to lead a heart healthy life.

In 2010, the AHA set a strategic goal of reducing death and disability from cardiovascular disease and strokes by 20 percent while improving the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent by the year 2020.

Know your risks and Get Involved!!  Wear Red on Friday, February 2, 2018!

I’m gonna let you all in on a little secret.  2 years ago, I started using a service because I was going to a lot of After 5/Dressy Affairs and if you know me you know I try not to wear the same thing twice (close together in time anyway).  So, I was told about Rent The Runway!  I’ve rented about 10 outfits from them and I’ve loved EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!!  How it works is you go through their clothes options and select what you want.  Make sure to read the reviews to determine sizing options (you get a free back-up dress in a different size too).  They have regular sizes, petite, and plus sizes!! Who doesn’t love options??  You select the length of time you want to keep the dress (either 4 days or 8 days).  The dress is delivered to you on the say you ask and you are to drop the dress off on the day they tell you to…that simple!!  And before you ask…no you are NOT responsible for cleaning it!!

I signed up for the PRO Membership…I get free shipping and insurance.  I’ve gotten dresses (NICE DRESSES) for as low as $30! I ordered a dress today for a function on Saturday and I found a coupon code..guess how much I paid for the rental???  NOTHING!!!!!  It was free!!  You also get a free rental for your Birthday!

So stop buying all these dresses that you aren’t going to wear anymore.  Go to to start shopping and you will get $30 off!
